The Jackets’ top line looked lively in Tuesday’s session, dominating small-area battles and scoring twice in the scrimmage portion. Vincent praised their communication, noting Fantilli’s growing chemistry with Marchenko.

Kent Johnson is also thriving on the line, using his creativity to set up backdoor chances. “We’re trying to keep things simple—quick give-and-go, then attack,” Johnson said.

The trio stayed late to work on net-front tips with assistant coach Jared Boll, focusing on power-play entries.

With the Islanders matchup looming, Columbus hopes the unit can spark much-needed five-on-five offense.

The line will start Thursday, but Vincent said leash length depends on defensive responsibility: “They have to stay connected without the puck.”
